September 12-16

We have decided to switch our blog up to provide you with some conversation starters for the dinner table!

After this week your child should be able to...
Students had a great time at our first Science Club meeting!

  • Describe the attacks that Peter and Grandpa had on one another
  • Tell you how the story The War With Grandpa ended
  • Name and describe the four properties of multiplication
  • Describe the difference between climate and weather
  • Find the simple and complete subject and predicate in a sentence
  • Tell you about the Earthworks jobs they applied for
  • Explain their position in the Science class debate on preserving the wetland habitats
Next week your child will learn how to...
  • Combine sentences using compound subjects and predicates
  • Correct run-on sentences
  • Estimate products
  • Multiply 2 and 3 digit numbers by a single digit
  • Identify the essential components of a habitat
  • Review vocabulary and concepts from our first three Social Studies lessons
  • Create a book report over The War With Grandpa

Mark your calendar:
Recycling on Friday Afternoon!

  • Math Club meets Thursday, September 22 at 7:20.  We will do activities to support multiplication fact practice!
  • Social Studies test Thursday, September 22.  This test is over pages 70-91.
  • Noon dismissal and spirit day on September 30th!
We welcome any comments or suggestions to make our blog more useful to you as a parent.  Post a comment with your thoughts and you will earn two punches on your child's punch card!
