Restaurante day in Spanish
On Tuesday, February 11 the fourth grade students will have a Restaurante day in Spanish class. Students have finished a unit on food and are practicing how to order food and be a server in Spanish. 4C and 4V will take turns serving and being guests at each other’s “restaurante.”

In order to
make this possible I’m asking each student to help supply food that they will
serve their guests. Thank you in advance

You will soon receive an invitation from SignUp Genius. Thank you again for helping your child
prepare for this fun activity! I’m
looking forward to seeing them utilize their Spanish vocabulary and skills and
I know they will enjoy partaking in the food and festivities.Besides serving the other class, students may choose to
prepare a simple act to perform while we eat. We will talk about this in class.
Students will also design their menus and checks to be culturally authentic.Please don’t hesitate to email

ROAD t-shirt design contest
Students have an opportunity to design the ROAD t-shirt for the Kansas City Ballet program we have been participating in this year. Submissions must be on a sheet of plain computer paper, students may use black and four additional colors, the design needs to have ROAD or Reach Out And Dance on it. Students may work with a partner, but can only submit one entry. Designs are due to the homeroom teacher by Friday, February 21.

Bill Severns Returns! – Tuesday, February 11th at 4:00 PM
Author and coach, Bill Severns returns to share his thoughts on what children truly seek and need through their involvement in team sports. Bill shares valuable insights and life lessons through his engaging, true stories gathered from his own life experiences as a professional baseball player and little league coach. Bill was a hit when he came to St. Paul’s the first time and we are pleased that he has agreed to come again and help us kick off our spring sports season.
