• Examined different types of mountains and how they are formed
• Reviewed federal, state, and local governments (Mrs. Van Maren's class)
• Identified rights and responsibilities we have as Americans (Mrs. Van Maren)
• Located subject and object pronouns in a sentence (Mrs. Van Maren's class)
• Went on a geometric scavenger hunt!
• Punctuated dialogue in sentences (Mrs. Van Maren's class)
• Participated in Grandparent's and Special Friends Day!
• Spent time with their preschool buddy on the field

Next week your child will...

• Review state, local, and federal governments for the test on Thursday (Mrs. Van Maren)
• Wrap up the civil war unit (Mrs. Cowan's class)
• Finish reading their book club readings
• Identify proper agreement of subject pronouns and present tense verbs (Mrs. Van Maren)
• Identify possessive pronouns and use them in sentences (Mrs. Van Maren's class)
• Review volcanoes, earthquakes, and landforms that form from Earth's shifting plates

  Identifying rocks with Grandparents

  PE Classes are now going to take place on the field.  Please make sure that your child brings appropriate shoes to wear outside on PE days.  Sometimes the field is wet from dew, and students need to wear shoes that can withstand a little bit of moisture.  Students may also bring water bottles to class.  The days we attend PE are Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays.
