This week the fourth grade:
- Participated in an experiment to test the friction of different surfaces
- Created a flip book all about Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion
- Identified linking verbs in a sentence
- Found the factors and multiples for given numbers
- Identified the greatest common factor of two numbers
- Reviewed and took a test over the Midwest Region
- Wrapped up second quarter book clubs
Next week students will:
- Meet with their preschool buddies
- Take a test over force and motion
- Learn how to spell irregular verbs
- Write a Christmas story
- Create a banner for the St. Paul's 50th Anniversary celebration
- Practice identifying the fifty state and capitals
- Go ice skating at Line Creek, 9:15 am -11:30 am
- Students can bring up to $5 to use at Line Creek.
- The fourth grade will be having a pizza party! Bring a drink and a small side for lunch that day.
- We will also have a White Elephant party in the afternoon. Please have your child bring a wrapped $5 gender neutral present by THURSDAY DEC. 20TH.

- Fri., 12/21 - Spirit Day, Lower School Ice Skating Party 9:15-12:00, Christmas Parties in the afternoon

- Mon. 1/6 - Classes Resume (Note: There is not a teacher inservice on this day, classes resume as normal on Monday.)
- Fri. 1/11 - End of Quarter 2
- WED. 1/16 - FIFTY STATES AND CAPITALS TEST
Other important information:
Fourth graders have been asked to bring in travel size body lotions to make travel bags for the food pantry. On the Friday before our Christmas break, we will work together to assemble these bags and take them to the pantry to distribute to people during the cold winter months.
