This week the fourth grade:
- Assembled a simple circuit and tested conductors and insulators
- Constructed series and parallel circuits
- Revised and edited their pros and cons essay
- Illustrated examples of comparative adjectives
- Identified proper adjectives in a sentence
- Continued to read and discus Number the Stars
- Began researching topics for their state ABC book
- Compared and ordered fractions
- Added fractions and reduced answers to simplest form
- Continue to learn about comparative adjectives
- Add and subtract fractions
- Finish reading Number the Stars
- Select their third quarter book clubs (we are still looking for a few more volunteers, please see the information below and let us know you can help out this quarter!)
- Build circuits
- Draft their state ABC book
- Continue researching their state
* There will be no spelling test next week due to the short week.
Upcoming dates:

- Thurs., 1/24 - Science Club, 7:25 am
- Fri., 1/25 - Spirit Day, 50th Anniversary Chapel and school parade

The Fifty States Fair presentations will be Thursday March 28th. This is the Friday after Spring Break. More details will follow as it gets closer to the date.
The Jefferson City field trip has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 2nd. This is an all day field trip 9:30-4:30) and we will need 4-6 parents to join us. If you are interested please let us know!
