February 17-20

St. Paul’s Student Council is sponsoring a school wide Spirit Spree starting Tuesday, Feb. 17 and ending Friday, Feb. 27. Find out more about the food drive and special dress days here:

This week the fourth grade: 
  • Divided numbers with remainders
  • Identified causes and effects of weathering and erosion
  • Finished a comic strip that illustrates weathering, erosion, and deposition over time
  • Reviewed weathering, erosion, and deposition
  • Wrapped up our verbs unit and took a quiz
  • Continued 3rd quarter book clubs
  • Revised and edited our Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane writing projects
  • Completed our scrapbooks on The West
  • Reviewed The West and took a test
Next week we will:
  • Finish Topic 9 in math and review division concepts (test Thursday, Feb. 26)
  • Discuss the importance of controlling erosion and identify ways people can prevent erosion
  • Demonstrate how glaciers erode land as they melt and move
  • Take a test over weathering, erosion and deposition
  • Begin a unit all about adjectives
  • Finish 3rd quarter book clubs
  • Publish our Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane writing projects
  • Find out the state that we will represent at the Annual 50 States Fair
  • Create a "stained glass" outline of our state
  • Research our states by listening to songs that illustrate each state's history, geography, and economy (listen to the songs and find out more here)
