This week the fourth grade:
- Finished Topic 9 in math and reviewed division concepts
- Discussed the importance of controlling erosion and identify ways people can prevent erosion
- Demonstrated how glaciers erode land as they melt and move
- Took a test over weathering, erosion and deposition
- Began a unit all about adjectives
- Identified and correctly used articles a, an, and the
- Finished 3rd quarter book clubs
- Published our Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane writing projects
- Found out the state that we will represent at the Annual 50 States Fair
- Created a "stained glass" outline of our state
- Began researching our states by first learning how to find credible websites
- Begin a unit all about rocks and minerals
- Review proper adjectives and adjectives that come after linking verbs
- Start working on long division
- Create "What State Am I?" puzzles
- Synthesize all the writing skills we have worked on this year to free write in our journals
- Create acrostic classmate poems using descriptive adjectives
