October 15-19

This week the fourth grade: 

• Finished their first book club session
• Practiced dividing two and three-digit numbers by a single divisor
• Discussed adaptations of animals
• Began learning about Earth's water supply and the water cycle
• Wrapped up their study of the West
• Began writing their first story
• Created their own animal during Science Club Switchzoo.com

Next week students will:

• Discover how water is recycled in our atmosphere through the water cycle
• Examine different types of clouds

• Celebrate their Spirit Award prize with a sports activity and pizza lunch on Friday!
• Finish writing their story and create a picture book to share with their buddies
• Practice reading strategies to improve comprehension
• Begin their study of the Southwest

• Tues, 10/23-Cookies for Cancer Fundraiser- students can bring $1.00 to purchase cookies to go with their lunch
• Thurs., 10/25 - Math Club, 7:25 am, Science Quiz over Food Chains and Water Cycle
• Fri., 10/26 - Spirit Award Pizza Party, Presidents Cultural Arts Event
• Wed., 10/31 - Halloween Parties, 2:15-3:00 pm (will be held on the field)
• Thurs., 11/1 - Conferences, 12:00-8:00 pm
• Fri., 11/2 - Conferences, 7:30 am-12:00 pm
