March 30-April 2

This week the fourth grade: 

• Began a unit all about pronouns
• Continuedlearning about the three types of rocks
• Created a foldable project about different types of rocks
• Began Topic 11:  Fraction Equivalence and Ordering
• Identified factors, multiples, prime and composite numbers
• Finished Sign of the Beaver (4V) and Walt Disney (4S)
• Completed the final revisions of our state persuasive speeches
• Researched our state's attractions and used the "PuppetPals" app to create a puppet show describing these attractions
• Went on a field trip to the Steamboat Arabia Museum
• Received a tree to plant in honor of Arbor Day!

Next week we will:

• Begin fourth quarter book club assignments
• Identify subject and object pronouns
• Identify equivalent fractions and compare fractions
• Review rocks and minerals for our test on Wednesday
• Create a postcard of our state
• Write a letter to a family member inviting them to the State Fair
• Travel to Jefferson City, Missouri to visit the Capitol building, Governor's Mansion, and Supreme Court
• Attend the Rockhurst University Literature Festival!

Two classes available:       11:45am - 12:15pm  and   4:00pm - 4:30pm
